POLICE and the NPAS helicopter are searching for a missing Bournemouth man this afternoon.

At 2.47pm today, police received a report of concern for the welfare of Jason Jarvis, 47.

He was believed to be in the Bournemouth area but had not been seen by his family since Thursday 12 September 2019.

There was a further report at around 3pm that Jason had been seen by the ambulance service in the area of Branksome Wood Road but he was no longer with them.

Jason is described as white, five feet ten inches tall and of slim and muscular build with a shaved head.

It is believed he was wearing a white shirt and black trousers and was either wearing or carrying a black Superdry body warmer.

Chief Inspector Alan Setchell, of Dorset Police, said: “We understand Jason has been very upset recently and we are keen to locate him as soon as possible to make sure he is safe and well.

“We are carrying out searches in the Bournemouth area, with support from the NPAS helicopter, to try and locate him and I would urge anyone with information as to his whereabouts, or who sees a man matching the description given, to please contact police immediately.

“I would also like to make a direct plea to Jason if you see this appeal to please contact us or your family as we just want to ensure you are all right.”
