A HANDYMAN from North Dorset was found dead in his flat after a neighbour became concerned for his welfare.
The body of Patrick Isaac, who lived in Orchard Court, Gillingham, was discovered on August 27.
An inquest into the 55-year-old's death was opened and adjourned at the coroner's court in Bournemouth on Monday. A post-mortem examination revealed the cause of Mr Isaac's death as hanging.
Coroner's officer Ken McEwan said: "Mr Isaac lived alone in a first-floor flat.
"A neighbour had cause for concern having not seen Mr Isaac, and went to check.
"Upon entering the property, he found him hanging."
There are no suspicious circumstances, the court heard.
A full inquest will take place at the town hall next March.
