A POIGNANT service will take place at Wimborne Minster this weekend for anyone affected by baby loss.
The Mariposa Trust will hold its Saying Goodbye service at the Minster at 3.30pm on Sunday (September 15)
The service is open to anyone affected by baby loss, whether during pregnancy, at birth or
in infancy. It will be the fourth time the service has been held in Wimborne.
The Saying Goodbye services launched in 2012 and have since been held in six countries with over 120 services held to date.
They are open to people of faith or no faith, whether people have lost recently or decades ago, and welcome not only parents, but also extended family and friends.
Baby loss affects one in four pregnancies each year in the UK, with nearly 700 babies lost each day.
The Mariposa Trust provides support that reaches over 50,000 people each week through its six divisions, and helps people affected by baby loss, pregnancy after baby loss, fertility and adoption.
The charity was founded by Zoe and Andy Clark-Coates, who suffered the loss of five babies.
Zoe Clark-Coates said: “We invite anyone who has gone through or been affected by baby loss, to join us for this special event. Come and join with others who have been through a similar experience, in remembering all those who have gone too soon, because every baby matters.”
