SUPERHEROES and princesses will walk along the seafront this weekend for a very special reason.

The Heroes for Heroes Walk will take place on Sunday, September 15 for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

Childhood Cancer Awareness Month takes place in September of each year.

The walk will set off from Boscombe Pier at 2pm and participants will head towards Bournemouth Pier.

People who take part are encouraged to dress as their favourite superhero or princess but can also take part without fancy dress.

Those interested in taking part can sign up for free at theisabelbakerfoundation.co.uk/fundraising/heroes-for-heroes.

Anyone can take part and sponsorship is optional.

There will be stewards manning the walk and handing out free water. Little Gizmos entertainment will also be attending with mascots.

A spokesperson said: “Our aim is to get as many people involved as possible to raise vital awareness of childhood cancer.”
