OUR parliamentary representatives seem to be as laid back as slouching Leader of the House Jacob Rees-Mogg when it comes to leadership on planetary overheating. We are out of carbon budget as our seas acidify and our atmosphere becomes more overwhelmed as we see from various recent terrifying international disasters.
The voice of the scientists has been seriously downplayed and many recent dire warnings ignored.
Dorset Green Party councillor Kelvin Clayton (Daily Echo, September 5) is right; fossil fuels have had their day and the YouthStrike4Climate generation is demanding Navitus and other forms of clean energy and storage.
Do we want harvests, clean water and an action plan for survival or are we happy to put up with more roads, aviation expansion and air shows thereby sacrificing safety and well-being?
