A NEW shop specialising in craft beers, ales, ciders and fine wines has opened its doors in Christchurch town centre.

The Crafty Tap Ltd is an independently run tap room and bottle shop located at 69 High Street.

The new watering hole launched last month and is open six days a week, including until 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays.

The owners said patrons can enjoy a “wide selection of unique Craft Beers, Ales and Ciders along with selected fine wines and other great artisan produce.”

Offerings include Vibrant Forest Brewery’s Juicy Pale Ale 4.5%, Tiny Rebel’s Stay Puft Marshmallow Porter at 12.8% and kolsch style beer Herzog by the North Brewing Co.

Beer fans can also take some of the brews home from one of the taps in a refillable glass bottle.

Director of The Crafty Tap Ltd Ben Makins said: “We are very excited to announce the opening of our Craft Taproom & Bottle Shop at 69 High Street, Christchurch, and we can’t wait to share with you our love for all things grape and grain!

“Our aim is to offer a fantastic variety of craft and niche beers, alongside a unique range of hand selected fine wines from Italian, French and English producers.”

Mr Makins added: “You will be able to take your favourite brews home fresh from the tap in one of our refillable glass Growler bottles, or by choosing from our large off-licence selection of bottles and cans.

“For those who wish to rest and relax with a refreshing drink before moving on to the next adventure of the day, you will be able to find comfortable seating in a rustic and inviting environment.”
