ANIMAL lovers flocked to Highcliffe Castle for an annual event dedicated to pets at the weekend.
PetFest 2019, which took place in the castle grounds, saw dogs of all ages and sizes show of their skills across a number of categories including cutest puppy, waggiest tail and most handsome veteran.
Other categories included best rescue, best dressed dog and junior handler with the top dog awarded Highcliffe Castle’s dog of the year.
Visitors were also able to enjoy a birds of prey display and come face to face with all manner of creepy crawlies in the world life animal encounters area.
Brave souls could get up close to geckos, tarantulas, snakes and even a bearded dragon.
More than 40 exhibitors attended including Longdown Activity Farm which brought its mobile farm, while children were kept entertained with craft activities and face painting.
This year marked the fourth year of PetFest.
