A NEW homeware shop is to open at Castlepoint, creating 28 jobs.

Homesense will open inside its sister store TK Maxx at Castlepoint’s West Mall on Thursday, October 3.

The retailer offers branded homeware products for at least 60 per cent of the recommended retail price.

Homesense says its new store will offer 24,510sqft of floor space.

A spokesperson for Homesense said: “We are delighted to be moving in with our sister brand TK Maxx and opening our first store in Bournemouth. We look forward to welcoming shoppers and helping them discover their own treasures and a huge range of unique homeware at irresistible prices.”

The chain said it would offer a full homeware range for every room of the home, including cookware, furniture, lighting and decorative items, bedding, bathroom accessories, gifts and seasonal items. It said frequent deliveries would ensure thousands of new items each week.

The company said Homesense buyers deal directly with brand owners and producers all over the world to negotiate deals on merchandise.

Homesense says it keeps prices low through “opportunistic buying, established relationships with vendors and a no-frills operation” which passes savings to the customer.

“Homesense is part of the TK Maxx family and operates an exciting off-price concept which offers branded homeware and unique finds, always up to 60 per cent less than the recommended retail price,” it added.

“Homesense offers endless inspiration in a unique treasure hunt shopping experience where customers can experience the thrill of finding an amazing brand or exciting gem every time they visit.

“The average Homesense store receives several deliveries per week. The rapidly changing mix of high quality merchandise creates the treasure hunt experience that customers love."

The opening of Homesense at Castlepoint follows the brand’s arrival at TKMaxx in Southampton earlier this month.

The Castlepoint store will open for business on Thursday, October 3, at 10am.
