BOURNEMOUTH Concert Brass will perform its traditional autumn concert at the Regent with Last Night of the Proms on Sunday, September 29 at 7.30pm. The concert will feature Albert Hall classics such as: Jerusalem, Pomp and Circumstance No 1, Fantasia and a selection of British sea songs, including Rule Britannia and other original brass band pieces in true Sir Henry Wood style. The 27-strong Bournemouth Concert Brass is one of the top bands in Britain today – a tribute to their long and distinguished history.

The band, formerly called the Bournemouth Silver Band, was born at the turn of the century in Boscombe and Southbourne. The Band are past winners of the prestigious Milton Keynes and Reading Brass Band Festivals. The Band are also former West of England Champions and have represented the region at the National Brass Band Championships at the Albert Hall and at the English Brass Band Championships in Salford.

Bournemouth Concert Brass will be led by conductor Bill Willis who has been with the band since 1993 and has written arrangements for them. Don’t forget to bring Union Jack hats and flags .Tickets £11, concessions £10.50.
