POLICE have appealed for information after a car window was smashed to steal a handbag from the passenger seat.
They have issued a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to after the bag was grabbed from the car parked at White Mill at Sturminster Marshall near Wimborne between 12.50pm and 1.50pm on Monday August 26.
The bag contained £50 in cash, a mobile phone, driving licence and bank cards.
One of the cards was later used in an attempt to withdraw £250 from a cashpoint at The Square in Wimborne.
Police have now warned drivers against leaving valuable items in unattended vehicles.
