The proposed design for Livingstone Academy in Bournemouth
WHY ON Earth would anyone even think of locating a new 1,500 pupil school (Livingstone Academy) right next door to a probation office attended by convicted paedophiles?
It doesn’t matter what ‘precautions’ the authorities are taking to ensure the safety of the children – the fact remains that the Department for Education could not have chosen a more unsuitable site for a school if they’d tried.
We can only hope that BCP councillors, who will decide next week whether or not to grant planning permission for the new academy, will display more common sense than the Department for Education jobsworths.
