THE A27 has been shut tonight due to two accidents.
The A27 Arundel Road is closed both ways closed due to two accidents from A284 (Crossbush Junction, Crossbush) to A280 (Angmering / Clapham junction, Patching).
Police have closed the road for two separate accidents. A diversion is in place:Eastbound Traffic should follow the A284 and rejoin at Clapham.
Westbound traffic should take the A280, A259 and the A284 to rejoin at Crossbush.
One motorist said: "It looked like two cars were involved in the first crash with damage to street furniture.
"I understand a lorry was involved in another crash."
Pictures show what appears to be a bus stop badly damaged.
There were multiple units from police, fire and the ambulance service.
A police spokeswoman said the closure was not interesting and refused to give any more information after being called by The Argus.
