A NEW Forest man who stole meat and Prosecco from Tesco has been given a suspended sentence.
Samuel Snelgar stole six meat items and two bottles of Prosecco from Tesco Express in Brockenhurst on February 27.
The items were worth a total of £57.
Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court, Snelgar, 30, of Castle Close, Milford-on-Sea, pleaded guilty to theft.
He was given a two week prison sentence, which magistrates suspended for six months.
Snelgar was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £115 and court costs of £85.
