HOUSE-SHARING shoplifters who stole steak and frozen seafood from Bournemouth shops during a spate of offences have been jailed.
Lee Curry and Christopher Heap, who share a property in Alma Road, Winton, appeared at Poole Magistrates' Court last week to admit a series of crimes.
Curry, 36, pleaded guilty to five counts of shoplifting, as well as the commission of a further offence while subject to a conditional discharge order for a period of 12 months for theft.
He stole six steaks from Iceland in Wimborne Road, Bournemouth on August 21. He shoplifted goods from a branch of Co-op on three occasions. On June 17, Heap and Curry teamed up to steal frozen seafood worth £165 from Iceland in Christchurch Road, Boscombe.
Heap, 32, admitted three counts of theft, one of failing to comply with the requirements of a community order and one of failing to surrender to custody.
Magistrates heard he stole alcohol from the Co-op in Wimborne Road, Bournemouth. He returned to the branch just a fortnight later to steal meat and fish worth £245.
Both of the defendants were sentenced to 16 weeks in prison. They were each also ordered to pay £82.50 compensation to Iceland.
