PLANS for a development of 112 homes in Corfe Mullen took a step forward with the approval of the first phase of reserved matters.
The proposals for the land north of Wimborne Road, which consists of former allotments and paddock lands, are being progressed by Bellway Homes Ltd.
An outline application for a phased development of up to 112 homes was approved by East Dorset District Council's planning committee in 2017.
Now Dorset Council planning officers have granted the detailed plans for the first 78 properties on the site.
These homes are set to be accessed from the eastern of the two new access points, with the road running through the site to join up with phase two, which will itself provide the western access point.
A further application is expected in the coming months for phase two.
