THERE were (perhaps predictably) lots of problems on our roads yesterday.

8.50am:

The weather's not great at the moment, but the Met Office assures us it's going to get warmer, so we're expecting more delays and traffic jams.

We'll keep this webpage updated with incidents as we see them.

9am:

As most will know by now, both the Twin Sails Bridge and the Sandbanks Ferry are (still) out of action.

At the moment, there's only one other problem to report – slow traffic on the A351 Sandford and Holton Heath. Travel time is nine minutes.

10.20am:

  • A351 Storoborough Green. Delays. Travel time is 12 minutes
  • A31 Poulner Hill, Ringwood. Very slow traffic into Bournemouth. Travel time is ten minutes

10.40am:

  • There's been an emergency incident at Eastleigh train station and all services are affected. Disruption is expected until 2pm. Here's the story on it so far
  • A3049 Wallisdown Road. Heavy traffic

10.50am:

  • Castle Lane East. Heavy traffic
  • A31 Wimborne. Very slow
  • A31 Minstead. Slow due to holiday traffic

11am:

11.30am:

  • B3073 Christchurch Road, Hurn. Slow traffic. Travel time is four minutes

12.30pm:

  • A338 Salisbury Road in Blashford, Ringwood. Very slow traffic. Travel time is eight minutes

2.20pm:

  • Well, it's 25c and Bournemouth is absolutely rammed - we understand there are lots of people parking on pavements, double yellows etc around Alum Chine, Durley Chine and Sandbanks

3.40pm:

  • Some sad news - the incident affecting trains to Bournemouth and Poole earlier is a person hit by a train at Eastleigh. Some services will be disrupted until 5pm. The story is now up on the website
  • A broken-down car is causing motorists a headache on the A31 westbound at Ringwood. There's traffic trailing back to Picket Post already

4.50pm:

  • Castle Lane West. Slow traffic
  • Still lots of delays heading into Bournemouth on the A31 too by the look of it

5.15pm:

  • It's starting to look slow out of the town on the A338 according to traffic reports

5.30pm:

  • A31 at St Ives, stop-start traffic
  • A35 at Harman's Cross. Heavy traffic. Travel time 15 minutes

And here's what readers are saying about the state of the roads today:

"It's quicker to get to the Purbecks by going up the A350 to Roundhouse Roundabout, to Bere Regis, then Wool and in from the west. Wareham/Sandford will add a good hour onto normal journey times as I found out on Saturday. Lulworth/Durdle door will be full and gridlocked."

"Last night was coming back into Ferndown from A31 and the traffic leaving Bournemouth was not moving. I proceeded to Ferndown and it was also backed up. Why don't we have a park and ride? Charge £5 per car for the whole day. People would realise it's cheaper to do that then park in the town centre."
