A BUSY flyover in Bournemouth has reopened to traffic in both directions following concerns over safety.
The Bath Road flyover, near Bournemouth pier, was closed to eastbound traffic on Friday after a burst water main caused a "void" to open beneath the carriageway, according to Councillor Mike Greene.
There were fears the closure could lead to traffic chaos on the busiest weekend of the year.
But it was reopened on Sunday afternoon.
On Friday, Cllr Greene said: "I understand engineers are investigating a void which they believe has opened up under the road.
"A similar situation happened in Bath Road close to the Royal Bath Hotel a few years ago."
