A CROWN court date has been set for a man accused of attempted murder.
Peter Tillman is due to appear at Winchester Crown Court on Wednesday, September 18.
He appeared at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, charged with attempted murder and dangerous driving.
It follows a serious crash on the A337 between Lyndhurst and Brockenhurst.
The crash involved a Jaguar and a Mini and happened at 7.10pm on Tuesday.
The driver of the Mini, a 33-year-old woman, from Dorset and the passenger of the Jaguar, a 59-year-old woman Sway, suffered minor injuries and were taken to hospital. Police closed the road for almost 12 hours before announcing it had reopened at 7am on Wednesday.
Tillman, 71, of Manchester Road, Sway, did not enter a plea at Thursday’s hearing.
