DIG out your shorts and fire up the barbecue, there’s a bank holiday just around the corner – and it’s not going to rain!

Despite unsettled weather throughout August, things are set to turn warmer and sunnier just in time for the three-day weekend.

Bournemouth-based forecaster DorsetSun said: “Bank holiday is coming at a good time, it’s looking warm with temperatures in the mid-20s, plenty of sunshine and staying dry. Possibility turning more unsettled and cooler into early September.”

With Bournemouth & Poole Weather saying temperatures would be in the mid to high 20s.

Southern England Weather said that the sunny bank holiday weather would continue into next week, before adding that “uncertainty creeps in from the 30th August” but we have “10 days of lovely summer weather to enjoy” before conditions turn unsettled.

Bournemouth Air Festival fans will be keeping their fingers’ crossed for the sunny conditions to continue when the four-day festival returns from Thursday.
