A MAN suffered cuts to his leg and a head injury during an assault at a New Milton housing estate on Saturday night.
Police and paramedics were called to Hardy Close shortly after 11.30pm after a man in his 20s was attacked.
Police have not confirmed the weapon used in the assault.
The man’s injuries are not life-threatening, a spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said on Sunday.
Police are investigating the circumstances of the assault.
Residents told the Echo there were around three police cars at the scene on Saturday night, as well as ambulances.
Officers could be seen searching the area with torches.
