Like the sound of a tiny helicopter spitting fireworks all over the place while flying around in the skies above you? Or how about the graceful Fireflies?

It could be argued Night Air is the most picturesque part of the Air Festival.

Yes, we all love sunshine pictures of the heaving crowds and aircraft swooping overhead, but on a clear night, you'd be hard pressed to beat Night Air for its visual qualities alone.

This year, the RAF Typhoons will be performing on Friday evening.

On all three nights, Otto the Helicopter, piloted by Brendan O'Brien, will fire more than 2,000 fireworks during the show, with the Fireflies perform their beautiful sky high balletic display.

The Red Devils will performing their death-defying moves, jumping 10,000 feet from a plane with flares lighting up the skies on Friday and Saturday.

As well as the flying displays, you can watch the brilliant Beat Retreat Sunset Ceremony in the Lower Gardens on Friday and Saturday. It will be performed by HM Royal Marines Band Portsmouth and Royal Marines Unarmed Combat from 6.30pm.

There will be live music on Bournemouth Pier, including a Sting and The Police tribute, Elton John tribute and Madness tribute act.

On Friday and Saturday, there will also be fireworks at the pier at 10pm.
