WORK to replace traffic lights at the junction of Castle Lane East and Riverside Avenue in Bournemouth have been completed.
BCP Council initially said the removal of the old lights, poles and cabling, as well as the installation of the new equipment, was expected to be completed by August 23.
All lanes are now open and the traffic management has been removed from site.
Speaking after the works started, BCP Council transport member Cllr Andy Hadley said: "The work is necessary due to the urgent need to update the old signals.
"This is very complicated work involving nearly one kilometre of cables and detailed wiring to ensure the safe operation of the new signals."
The work to replace the old traffic signals cost £130,000 and was funded by the Department for Transport.
