A BROKEN down train caused disruption for passengers in the New Forest earlier today.
Rail services between Brockenhurst and Lymington Pier were cancelled or revised from around 11.45am.
Disruption was due to last until 1pm.
A spokesperson for South Western Railway said during yesterday’s incident: “We have been informed that the train that operates the Brockenhurst to Lymington Pier shuttle service has broken down, meaning that no trains will run between these stations.
“It has to return to the depot to either be repaired or for the crew to bring a different train back out of the depot. This process will take approximately one hour.”
They added: “We are very sorry for any delay that this may cause to your journey”.
The line was clear by around 1.15pm.
