A BOURNEMOUTH man has been told to stay away from the Square for a month by magistrates.
Martin David Peters, of West Cliff Road in Bournemouth, was banned from the area after he appeared at Poole Magistrates' Court on Friday.
The defendant, 42, admitted stealing a bike worth £191 from outside NatWest in the Square on April 22.
He was sentenced to a community order, under which he must comply with an electronically-monitored curfew for six weeks, as well as a four-week exclusion requirement which prohibits him from visiting the town centre location.
Peters was also ordered to pay the owner of the bike compensation, as well as prosecution costs of £85.
