A SUPPORT worker from Prama has raised over £1,000 in a ‘Brave The Shave’ fundraiser.

Jane Burkin, one of Prama Life’s Memory Lane Leaders, helps support those with dementia and memory loss. She managed to raise a grand total of £1,010.50 which will go towards to the Memory Lane project.

Chris Wakefield, Fundraiser for the Prama Foundation said: “PramaLife now manages 11 Memory Lane Groups across Dorset, working with over 334 people who attend these activities each month, the majority of whom would otherwise be lonely, isolated or facing social exclusion.

“We are humbled by the generosity of people supporting Jane and are in admiration of Jane’s commitment to our Memory Lane participants. We would also like to thank Sean Meaney for providing the clippers.”

Memory Lane is designed to support those who are living with dementia to help make the most of past, and present memories, by providing a calming environment where individuals are able to talk to support workers and take part in stimulating activities with like-minded friendly people.
