DORSET'S first Muffin Break shop has opened at Poole's Dolphin Centre.

The outlet is situated at the former Druckers Patisserie shop, outside Boots and Primark.

Shopping centre manager John Grinnell said: "It was wonderful to see so many people supporting the launch of the centre’s latest store.

"We are confident this is going to be a real hit with shoppers and Poole residents – who can resist the smell of freshly baked muffins?”

"It has been a really exciting year for the centre with a whole host of top brands joining our line-up of retailers.”

Muffin Break serves premium coffee and a selection of muffins, cookies, cakes, flatbreads, toasties, quiches and other savouries.

The brand originated in Australia in 1989, with the first store opening in the UK in Derby in 2002.

Muffin Break marketing manager Michelle Orr said: “We’re so pleased to be offering something different to the people of Poole.

"Our cafés are owned by our carefully selected, locally based franchisees, meaning our customers will receive a friendly, welcoming, local coffee shop experience every time they visit.

“We pride ourselves on offering our customers high quality, freshly baked from scratch food, which is made on site daily and are excited to provide this new hub for the people of Poole.”
