LAST week, I went to Magaluf in Spain and was amazed at the end of the day how pristine the beach was. I could not find one single piece of litter! The bins were half empty and I did not see anybody litter picking or beach cleaning machines. People simply took their rubbish home.
To be honest I am fed up with how grotty Bournemouth beach becomes every evening during the summer. It is a national disgrace and an embarrassment and we need to stop being so lazy as a country and get some pride and manners back.
Many people basically do not give a damn about the next visitors who would like to enjoy the beach and care only for themselves. And don't even get me started on our sloppy road verges.
