THE skies over Bournemouth will be lit up tonight when the town's Friday night fireworks return with a bang.
The popular event attracts thousands of spectators and takes place every Friday evening over the summer.
People will be able to watch the spectacle at Bournemouth Pier at 10pm.
Last Friday hundreds of people turned out to watch the fireworks a week early after the date was wrongly advertised on some websites.
The Bournemouth Friday Fireworks will also run on August 9, 16 and 23 with further fireworks on Friday and Saturday August 30 and 31 as part of the Bournemouth Air Festival's Night Air entertainment.
Tomorrow there will be a fireworks display in Swanage at 9.45pm as part of Swanage Carnival Week.
The display will bring this year's carnival, which started on July 27, to a spectacular close.
