A JEWISH woman was subject to anti-Semitic abuse in Bournemouth.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the victim was verbally abused in the form of racially aggravated comments by a man walking behind her on Manor Road at around 9.25am on Monday, July 8.

The woman stopped outside the Majestic Hotel and the man carried on walking.

He is described as white, over six feet tall and aged in his mid 30s. He was said to be of an unkempt appearance and was walking a medium-sized dog off the lead.

The matter was reported to Dorset Police on July 16.

PC Olivia Galliver, of Bournemouth police, said: “Dorset Police takes hate crime very seriously and we are determined to identify the man responsible.

“We have been making a number of enquiries into this incident and having now gained further details from the victim I am appealing for any witnesses to please come forward.

“I would urge anyone with information that can assist our investigation to please contact us.”
