THIRTEEN drink and drug drivers appeared before the courts during a single day this week.

The motorists, who range in age from 18 to 61 and were driving vehicles including a BMW, an MG and an Audi, were banned from the roads for a total of thirteen-and-a-half years.

All pleaded guilty at Poole Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, July 23.

The drug-drive limits are:

Cocaine – 10 micrograms per litre of blood (µg/L)

Cocaine's primary derivative benzoylecgonine – 50µg/L

Cannabis's primary psychoactive ingredient THC – 2µg/L

The drink-drive limits are:

35 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath

80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood

107 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of urine

BOURNEMOUTH

JON BRIAN BRAMWELL, aged 61 and of Upper Norwich Road, Bournemouth, admits riding a motorcycle in Poole Road, Bournemouth on January 31 with 82 micrograms of cocaine derivative benzoylecgonine in blood. Fined £120, to pay a £30 surcharge, to pay £85 costs. Disqualified from driving for 12 months.

KEIRAN FRANKS, aged 21 and of Swansbury Drive, Bournemouth, admits driving a BMW in Penn Hill Avenue, Penn Hill on January 30 with 5.1 micrograms of THC per litre of blood. Fined £120, to pay a £30 surcharge, to pay £85 costs. Disqualified from driving for 12 months.

PETER CHARLES DISMORR, aged 34 and of Anchor Road, Bournemouth, admits driving a Honda Civic in Ringwood Road, Poole on February 9 with more than ten micrograms of THC per litre of blood. Fined £287, to pay a £30 surcharge, to pay £85 costs. Disqualified from driving for 12 months.

ADAM PAUL DAVIS, aged 28 and of Gladstone Road West, Boscombe, admits driving a Ford Fiesta in Victoria Avenue, Bournemouth on January 28 with 4.5 micrograms of THC per litre of blood. Fined £120, to pay a £30 surcharge, to pay £85 costs. Disqualified from driving for 12 months.

KAY IRENE JOHNSON, aged 47 and of Poole Lane, Bournemouth, admits driving an MG in Napier Road, Poole on July 12 with 80 micrograms of alcohol in breath. Fined £120, to pay a £32 surcharge, to pay £85 costs. Disqualified from driving for 16 months.

ADAM FLOYD AYRE, aged 18 and of Norton Road, Bournemouth, admits driving a Kia Picanto in Talbot Drive, Poole on February 1 with 2.5 micrograms of THC per litre of blood. Fined £100, to pay a £30 surcharge, to pay £85 costs. Disqualified from driving for 12 months.

POOLE

HARRISON SHEPPARD, aged 18 and of Courthill Road, Poole, admits driving a Yamaha motorcycle in Glenair Road, Poole on January 28 with 2.2 micrograms of THC per litre of blood. Fined £120, to pay a £30 surcharge, to pay £85 costs. Disqualified from driving for 12 months.

NICHOLA JANE JONES, aged 46 and of Anvil Crescent, Broadstone, admits driving an Audi A4 in Yarrow Road, Poole on February 16 with 135 micrograms of cocaine per litre of blood. Fined £100, to pay a £30 surcharge, to pay £85 costs. Disqualified from driving for 12 months. Also admits driving with more than 800 micrograms of cocaine derivative benzoylecgonine per litre of blood. Fined £100.

LUKE ROE, aged 34 and of Ashley Road, Poole, admits driving a VW Golf in Windsor Road, Bournemouth on February 15 with 5.2 micrograms of THC per litre of blood. Fined £300, to pay a £30 surcharge, to pay £85 costs. Disqualified from driving for 12 months.

FERNDOWN

JAMES CHRISTOPHER BALL, aged 32 and of Uplands Road, West Moors, admits driving a Mazda in Wimborne Road, Bournemouth on January 28 with at least 71 micrograms of ketamine per litre of blood. Fined £100, to pay a £30 surcharge, to pay £85 costs. Disqualified from driving for 12 months.

WIMBORNE

MICHAEL CRETNEY, aged 47 and of Allenview Road, Wimborne, admits driving a Ford Focus in West Way, Bournemouth on February 16 with 536 micrograms of cocaine derivative benzoylecgonine per litre of blood. Fined £200, to pay a £30 surcharge, to pay £85 costs. Disqualified from driving for 14 months.

BLANDFORD

JOSHUA LLOYD BOUSFIELD, aged 27 and of Damory Street, Blandford, admits driving a Vauxhall Combo van in Constitution Hill Road, Poole on February 2 with 6.3 micrograms of THC per litre of blood. Fined £120, to pay a £30 surcharge, to pay £85 costs. Disqualified from driving for 12 months. Also admits driving without an appropriate licence. Fined £20.

VERWOOD

WARREN JOHN DAVIS, aged 29 and of Redmans View, Verwood, admits driving a Skoda Fabia in Yarrow Road, Poole on February 1 with 5.6 micrograms of THC per litre of blood. Fined £250, to pay a £30 surcharge, to pay £85 costs. Disqualified from driving for 12 months.
