I READ with interest two items – one on the funds that may be available to regenerate Poole High Street and the other that South Western Rail has £5million available for community railway projects.
What better than a raised moving walkway over the railway line to provide easy access between the Dolphin Shopping Centre and the High Street. This would open up the high street to the public without getting involved in the scrum which occurs once the existing railway gates open. It would benefit both areas of Poole commerce and provide an interest for visitors.
Come on BCP Council, let's be imaginative and explore the idea with South Western Rail.
