A 'PARTY house' in Bournemouth's exclusive Talbot Woods is set to become a family home again, just weeks after it was closed down by the courts.

As reported, 24 Braidley Road, which was advertised online as The Stag House and The Party House, became a venue for raucous parties in the venue's swimming pool and jacuzzi every weekend.

The property, which was let by Canford Cliffs millionaire Max Walker, 54, and is owned by Stephen Millar, was closed down for three months in early July after magistrates heard neighbours had complained of a "massive amount of noise".

Last week, Millar returned to the court to apply for the closure order to be discharged.

Officials from BCP Council did not attend the hearing, but confirmed in writing they would not oppose the application.

Matthew King, community enforcement and anti-social behaviour manager for the authority, said: “After reviewing evidence, we were satisfied that the individual who was responsible for this situation is no longer involved in the property.

"Steps have been taken by the owner to revert the property into a dwelling house and we are hopeful that it will be occupied by a family in due course.

"Local residents who were adversely affected by this have been updated and are grateful for the work carried out by our officers.

"We will continue to monitor the situation but it was reasonable and proportionate to remove the closure order following this development.”

On the day the order was made, Poole Magistrates' Court heard Millar believed the property was being used as a family home.

Prosecutors allege text messages between Walker and Millar prove both were aware of its use and had "spun a tale" for the court.

Millar once allegedly warned Walker: "I won't tolerate this anymore Max. This is your last chance – too many hens and stags."

Lee Tharme, anti-social behaviour officer for BCP Council, said problems have been reported at weekends since April.

"There have been large parties at the address – stag and hen parties, although there have been family parties as well," he said.

"These are large gatherings of up to 20 people. There's a swimming pool and a jacuzzi at the front of the property."
