A LANGUAGE translator was discovered dead on a sofa at her Bournemouth home, an inquest heard.

Juanita Lofthouse, 58, was found at her home in Lytton Road on April 24. At an inquest held at Bournemouth coroner’s court yesterday, it was heard Ms Lofthouse’s family arrived at her house having not been able to contact her.

Coroner’s officer Philippa Morgan said the family had no access to the property but could see a person on the couch.

Police were called and gained entry to the property, where they found Ms Lofthouse unresponsive in the living room.

The ambulance service was called but she was pronounced dead at the scene. Police confirmed there were no suspicious circumstances.

A post mortem delivered a cause of death of oxygen nitrate asphyxiation.

The inquest was adjourned to December 13, 2019.
