A MAN who died after being struck by a train near Bournemouth station has been named as Arjan Walraven.
Mr Walreven, 45, of Ensbury Park Road, Bournemouth died of multiple injuries following the incident on Wednesday, July 3.
Emergency services were called to a stretch of track near the town’s central railway station during the evening, a Bournemouth inquest heard.
Assistant Dorset coroner Brendan Allen was told Mr Walraven, who was born in Amsterdam, was identified by fingerprint analysis.
Mr Allen was told that witnesses said Mr Walraven, who had a history of drug and alcohol dependency, appeared to be intoxicated.
A police investigation concluded there were no suspicious circumstances.
The inquest was adjourned until February next year to allow for further inquiries to be carried out.
