A TOP Dorset school has been named BTEC School of the Year at a national awards ceremony.
Milton Abbey School was recognised for its expertise in delivering a wide array of BTEC courses – alongside A-Levels and GCSEs – providing a truly tailored set of subjects for each student.
It was also given Silver Awards for Teacher of the Year and Creative Media Student of the Year, plus a Bronze Award for Business and Enterprise Student of the Year at the Pearson awards.
Milton Abbey head Judith Fremont-Barnes said: "We are delighted to have been awarded BTEC School of the Year. It is a wonderful recognition of Milton Abbey’s commitment to excellence, in and beyond the classroom.
"The award reflects the hard work and creativity of our fantastic students across a range of 14 relevant, practical and innovative BTEC courses. From Countryside Management to Hospitality, from Enterprise and Entrepreneurship to Digital Creative Media – our students can follow their passions and find just the right course of study."
