THE sight of dozens of pedal cars speeding their way along New Milton’s high street had everyone desperate for a view of the action this afternoon.
In a fierce competition, crowds were treated to a spectacular afternoon of racing in the Pedal Car Grand Prix.
As Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton claimed a sixth British Grand Prix title at Silverstone, the drama on Station Street in the New Forest town had all in attendance glued to the action on the road.
Alongside a host of thrills, there was also the occasional spill around the tight turns of the town centre track.
The event alternates between Ringwood and New Milton each year and the weekend saw organisers merge the racing with the New Milton Town Show to create a two-day event for all the family.
The Pedal Car Grand Prix first took place in Ringwood in 1989 before New Milton launched its event in the early 2000s.
