A STALKER who ‘fell in love’ with a Miss England finalist online – even dedicating his Britain’s Got Talent audition song to her – is back behind bars after breaching the conditions of an indefinite restraining order days after leaving prison.

Jonathan Deal, 39, was sentenced to 23 weeks in prison in February after magistrates at Poole heard he launched a campaign of harassment against 25-year-old Samantha Bumford.

He was due to be released around halfway through his sentence at the end of May.

This week, the defendant, who lives in a hotel in Bath Road, Bournemouth, was convicted of two charges of breaching his restraining order by taking to Facebook to re-post messages. The offences were committed on May 25.

He was sentenced to 26 weeks behind bars.

Earlier this year, magistrates heard that Deal, a self-styled rapper and model, besieged Miss Bumford with unwanted messages over social media. He also turned up uninvited at several of her shows.

The defendant, an aspiring rapper whose stage name is JAYD, told Miss Bumford he would audition for Britain’s Got Talent with a song he wrote for her.

At the height of his obsession, Deal followed his victim to the finals of Miss England in Nottingham, where he tried to kiss her as she came off the stage.

After Miss Bumford pushed him away, he sent her a message in which he claimed she had only done so well in the Miss England competition because judges thought she was his girlfriend.

Miss Bumford, reigning Miss Poole and 2017 Miss England Social Media queen, told magistrates: "I’m constantly on edge and I’ve been placed on medication because of this experience.

“For the first time since starting, I don’t want to [model].

"I’m not sleeping and I’m constantly looking over my shoulder. It’s completely ruined my life.”

Deal, who admitted stalking Miss Bumford, was handed a prison sentence after the court heard he had travelled hundreds of miles to watch his victim compete.

However, days after his release from prison, he re-posted a Facebook page relating to the Miss Dorset and Miss England competition.

He also re-posted a page about the Bournemouth Air Festival. Deal denied the charges, but was convicted following a trial.

Magistrates said he had breached the order shortly after it was imposed.

The defendant has 19 previous offences relating to harassment and stalking incidents dating back to 2003.
