POOLE lifting bridge was closed this morning following a collision between a lorry and a motorbike.
Police were called to the old bridge at 6.41am today following the crash.
The accident took place on the bridge as the vehicles, an articulated lorry and a motorbike with L plates, travelled from the Hamworthy side towards Poole.
Traffic was diverted to the Twin Sails Bridge from the Blandford Road roundabout.
The road reopened at around 8.50am.
It is not believed anyone was hurt.
