BEACH huts, booths and games are on the menu at a Christchurch pub following refurbishment of its patio garden.

The Nelson Tavern in Mudeford has re-opened its garden following a £90,000 investment from Admiral Taverns and Magners Cider.

There are now a number of places customers can enjoy lunch or a pint in the sun including yellow and pink beach huts and pastel-blue booths.

And if the weather turns a little chilly there are also patio heaters.

The pub's play area includes giant dominos and Connect Four.

A new summer food and wine menu will also be launched soon.

Licensee Hayley Toomer said: "We’re so pleased with our beautiful patio garden. We’ve worked incredibly hard to turn this into the perfect family-friendly space for our customers to while away long summer evenings and I’m excited for them to see the results.

"We’re proud that we’ve built in an area for families to bring children as well, giving parents time to relax and peace of mind. Roll on the summer."
