A WOMAN from Bournemouth has died following a crash with a lorry near Salisbury.

The woman, aged in her 20s, died after her Fiat Panda collided with a lorry on the A36, near Little Wishford.

Officers from Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which happened just after 2.55pm on Tuesday afternoon.

A spokesperson said: "We're appealing for witnesses after a fatal collision on the A36.

"A two vehicle collision took place at 2.55pm at Little Wishford involving a Fiat Panda and a lorry.

"Sadly, the driver of the Fiat, a woman in her 20s from the Bournemouth area, died as a result of the collision.

"Our thoughts are with her family at this tragic time."

They added: "Police, fire and ambulance were called to the scene and the road was closed between Stapleford and Wilton for almost seven hours.
