A TRANSIT van left the road and hit three parked cars in a quiet East Dorset village last night.
Police say the driver ran off after the crash in Alderholt.
An officer posting about the incident on the Dorset Traffic Cops Facebook page said: "The white Transit van was neither invited to use that space, nor fitted into it!
"Sadly the occupants decided not to wait for our arrival to explain their parking choices.
"We have some good ideas who they were though and will hopefully be speaking to them soon.
"Fortunately nobody was injured although the three parked vehicles all suffered damage."
