A TEENAGE boy has been arrested in connection with a robbery in which a Navy medal was stolen.

A man in his 20s was approached by a group of people and punched in the head as he was sitting on a bench in North Street, Wareham on Wednesday June 5 at 9.10pm.

The group then went through the victims pockets and stole his wallet, which contained £10, his bank card and a Navy medal belonging to his father.

He was also punched and kicked by the group.

Following inquiries, a 17-year-old boy from the Wareham area has been arrested on suspicion of robbery and has since been released under investigation.
