1 DORSET Dinghy Day returns for its sixth year on Saturday. The free fun event sees participants make their way down the River Stour in all manner of weird and wonderful watercraft and inflatables. People will make their way from Iford Bridge to Tuckton Bridge from 12noon. Iford Baptist Church will be holding a barbecue at the start of the event and people are also invited to visit The Riverside pub after making their way down the river.

2 A THAI celebration comes to Poole’s Harbourside Park this weekend. The Magic of Thailand Festival, previously known as Poole Thai Festival, will be held between 10am and 7pm on both days. People will be able to enjoy Thai food and performances, Muay Thai boxing, stalls and traditional Thai massage. Entry costs £5 for adults on the date and is free for under 15s.

3 ENJOY cuisine from around the globe at the Littledown Food & Music Festival on Sunday. People will be able to tuck into hog roasts, wood fired pizza, local cheeses, artisan breads and more. There will also be crepes, waffles, shakes and handmade fudge. Families will also be able to enjoy live music from the likes of the Mother Uckers plus there will be activities throughout the day. The event takes place at the Littledown Centre between 11am and 5pm. Admission is free but some entry charges apply.

4 A BEACH yoga event, which is believed to be the first of its kind in the UK, takes place in Bournemouth this weekend. The three-day event starts on Friday, which is also the International Day of Yoga, and runs until Sunday. There will be more than 50 classes for yogis of all abilities to try as well as a small exhibition area and a chill out zone. A Saturday day pass costs £10 and entry for all three days costs £18.

5 CALLING all super troopers and killer queens! Enjoy live music from some top tribute acts at the Upton House Music Festival. Friday’s line-up will see Killer Queen and ABBAMania take to the stage, while Saturday will celebrate Motown music starring Roy Hemmings from The Drifters and a Michael Jackson tribute. 6 RAISE a glass to the Hall & Woodhouse Dorset Beer Festival on Saturday. The festival takes place at the brewery in Blandford between 11am and 10pm. People will be able to enjoy more than 50 different beers and ciders as well as live music.

7 GET into the groove at Canvas on Poole Hill in Bournemouth tomorrow night (Friday). The club will be hosting a celebration of all things 80s with hits being played by the likes of Wham!, Madonna, Boy George, Jason Donovan and Prince.

8 A FAMILY-friendly wrestling show comes to The Queens Hotel in Bournemouth on Sunday afternoon. Doors open at 4.30pm and the show starts at 5pm when Dick Riley, Lucian Phillips, Josh Bodom and Eddie Ryan will battle it out. TK Cooper and Kelly Sixx will also go head-to-head for their first time ever.

9 WATCH A Midsummer Night's Dream on Sunday night in the grounds of Highcliffe Castle. People are invited to take along a picnic, blanket and chairs.
