A REPORT will be produced on the issues that affected Twin Sails Bridge over many months – but a date for its publication is not yet known.
The crossing was blighted by problems throughout 2018 and at the start of this year.
It had been closed on and off since November due to a fault with the hydraulic system, which proved difficult to identify fully.
After a period of investigation alongside annual maintenance work, the bridge re-opened in March.
Lynne Wait, Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council interim engineering manager, said: “A report will be compiled outlining the recent issues of the Twin Sails Bridge and presented to the appropriate committee in due course.
"As the investigation and repairs needed to the bridge are not complete it is not yet known when this report will be available.”
Twin Sails opened in 2012, with more than £14million in Government funding to complete its construction.
