STARLIGHT Concerts are close to selling out for a second time for their popular Queen & Abba tribute night at Upton House. The show was re-licensed in April to accommodate a larger audience.

Friday features Killer Queen and Abba Mania followed on Saturday by Motown music starring Roy Hemmings from The Drifters and a Michael Jackson tribute act.

Emma Brayne, operations director said: “We are delighted by the response to our Starlight Concerts series at Upton Country Park. The rate of tickets sales has been amazing. There are just a handful left for the Friday night and few more available on the Saturday. We are looking forward to an excellent weekend.”

She added: “We’ve worked with the local authority and the emergency services to design a traffic management plan to get everyone to and from the concert safely. We recommend you buy your parking tickets in advance online as we expect small queues at Upton Country Parks parking machines.”

Visitors are encouraged to pre-book their car parking tickets for £4. Customers are also permitted to bring picnics to the site. To pre-book parking or for more information, see starlightconcerts.co.uk. No tickets available on the gate.
