1 PIRATES will take over Poole Quay on Saturday when popular annual event Harry Paye Day returns. This year marks the 600 years since Harry Paye’s death and the main event will be the procession which starts at 12noon on the Quay plus there will be live music, stalls, children’s rides, face painting and storytelling. The event runs until 6pm.

2 RUNNERS will put on their trainers to help raise money for Cancer Research UK this Sunday at not one but two special events. Saturday will see the Poole Pretty Muddy 5k take place at Baiter Park. Participants will set off between 10.30am and 11.15am to tackle a muddy 5k obstacle course. Then at 11am on Sunday, there will also be a less messy 5k run taking place at the park.

3 THERE will be fun for all the family at Bournemouth’s BH2 complex on Saturday. Between 11am and 4pm, people will be able to enjoy crafts, glitter tattoos and a toy trail plus the chance to win prizes from the Odeon. Activities will be free of charge but donations are being collected for local charity Amelia’s Rainbow and the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.

4 ROLL up, roll up! Happy’s Circus visits St Mark’s C of E Primary School in Talbot Village on Saturday. Prepare to be amazed by acrobats, aerialists, magic and more. Gates open at 12noon and the show starts at 2pm. Costs £10 per person.

5 WORLD- famous magician and “endurance artist” David Blaine brings his latest show Real or Magic to the BIC’s Windsor Hall on Saturday. The one-man show will combine his “world-famous sleight of hand with his death-defying endurance acts.”

6 BEAUTIFUL blooms will be on show in Christchurch this weekend when the second annual FlowerFest takes place. This year’s event is supporting the Macmillan Caring Locally Brick by Brick Appeal and visitors will be able to enjoy a floral trail around the grounds of the Priory. The event starts tomorrow and runs until Sunday.

7 WATCH beach volleyball at Bournemouth this weekend when the Deep Dish Beach Series returns for its fifth year. The UKBT 2 star and 1 star mixed events will be taking place on Bournemouth beach on Saturday and Sunday.

8 FREE park yoga sessions will be held across Dorset on Sunday morning. Join in one of the sessions at Stour Valley and Moors Valley at 9am, Upton Country Park and Durlston Country Park at 9.30am and in Bournemouth’s Central Gardens at 10am. The sessions last for one hour.

9 SWAP your unwanted clothing for pre-loved items at the Switch-It Clothing Exchange at St Christopher's Church in Arnewood Road, Southbourne, on Saturday between 11am and 2pm. There will be clothes in sizes four to 22 as well as children's, men's and branded clothing.

10 AMATEUR musicians of all ages will perform alongside the BSO at Poole's Lighthouse on Sunday evening for Rusty & Not So Rusty. This year's event will feature performances of Berlioz’s Symphonie Fantastique and Mascagni's Cavalleria Rusticana.
