THIEVES are targeting cars parked at rural beauty spots, police in North Dorset have warned.

Officers from Stour Valley received two reports of thefts in just four days last week.

Vehicles which had been left at Fiddleford Manor car park in Sturminster Newton and Duncliffe Wood car park in Stour Provost, Gillingham, were raided.

A backpack and a wallet were stolen.

PCSO Mandy Robinson said drivers should take all valuables out of their vehicles before leaving them.
