DORSET-based animal rescue centre Margaret Green is hoping to find forever homes for animals in its care this week.

Maisy the giant rabbit is two years old and looking for an understanding home, most likely as a single house rabbit, although she may be able to mix with a neutered male rabbit pending a successful introduction. She can be quite protective of her food but should be better once she’s confident in her new home.

Charlie the cat is 12 years old and looking for a home as his previous owner had to move into a nursing home. He will need to be the only pet in a quiet home as he can be a little worried when meeting new people.

Spot, a 14-year-old feline is looking for a home with his sister Sue. They’re both on diets as Spot weighs over 8kg. They should be fine to live with a dog or children.

To rehome any of these pets call the Church Knowle centre on 01929 480474.

Amy is a two-year-old greyhound who can be quite nervous when meeting new people so she’s looking for an adult-only family. Once Amy gets to know someone she’s affectionate and could live with another medium/large calm dog but not with cats or small furries.

Cheerio is a crossbreed, around five years old and loves going on walks. Although he’s very sociable, the staff think he would prefer to be the only dog in the home. He can live with teenage children and possibly cats.

Hawk, a four-year-old ex-racing greyhound, is a very happy, friendly chap who loves affection. He really likes playing with toys, especially squeaky ones. Hawk would be happy to live with another large dog, older children but not with cats. To rehome any of these dogs call the Lincoln Farm centre on 01929 471340.
