FAMILIES will be able to experience a night under the stars at iconic Brownsea Island this summer.
Over four weekends, visitors will be able to sample the scouting life where it all started on the island in Poole Harbour.
Boats depart for the island on the Saturday morning, or campers can kayak, sail or paddle over from the mainland straight to the South Shore.
The National Trust team can transport luggage up to the campsite while new arrivals take in the island’s habitats and features
There are plenty of activities to keep the family active as well, including a low ropes course, and an archery range
Outdoor Centre manager Amanda Shorey said: "Brownsea Island weekends are a great opportunity for a digital detox and getting the family out in the great outdoors.
"The weekend is low impact and we try and support families with being as environmentally friendly as possible, leaving being a minimal footprint."
The adventure weekends take place on June 8/9, June 29/30, July 13/14 and September 14/15.
Adults and children, between 5-18, cost £24, Under fours go free.
