A WOMAN was taken to hospital after suffering an ankle injury at Durdle Door on Saturday night.
Lulworth Coastguard Rescue Team was called to assist South Western Ambulance Service with the casualty on the South West Coast Path.
On arrival, the team found the casualty in the care of the Lulworth First Responders.
A spokesperson for Lulworth Coastguard Rescue Team said: “Due to the high levels of pain the lady was experiencing, the teams were unable to extract the casualty.
“The lady was made a comfortable as possible until the ambulance arrived.”
The woman was given pain relief before being stretchered to the top of the track by Lulworth Coastguard Rescue Team where she was then transferred into an ambulance.
The spokesperson added: "We wish the lady a fast recovery."
